| Doris and Jim Love had two boys in the group during the late 1960s and early 1970s. They supported the boys very strongly. Whenever the group had an event they were always on hand to help. Doris was never ever afraid of speaking her mind. If she felt that there was an issue with the running of the troop she would come and tell you. At 5 foot 2 inches she would confront a 6 footer and it felt like she was 7 feet tall! When she and Jim retired they moved to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately Jim died shortly after. |

Jim became involved with the Vikings, like many other people, because his sons (Robert and Michael) were part of the group. He tirelessly supported the group at all fund raising functions and came to all the strange events that we joined in. He was always asking after members of the group who had moved on. |
